How we review and compare
Every brand on the site is assessed the same way. This page sets out the checks we run, how a score is formed, and the things a score deliberately does not claim.
What we assess
We use a fixed set of seven checks so brands can be compared on a level footing rather than on whichever feature each one markets hardest.
- Offer clarity — whether headline numbers match the small print, and how readable the wagering and time limits are.
- Site usability — how quickly you can reach a game, a category or the cashier.
- Payment options — the deposit and withdrawal methods supported, and the typical speed of internal checks.
- Game variety — the balance across slots, live dealer and table games.
- Mobile experience — how the site holds up on a phone, not just desktop.
- Terms transparency — how plainly conditions are written and whether anything important is hidden.
- Responsible gambling visibility — how easy it is to find deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
How a score is formed
Each check informs a single editorial score out of ten. We weight the score towards clarity, usability and safer-gambling visibility, because those are the factors that affect day-to-day use the most. We do not award the same score to every brand, and a high mark in one area does not paper over a weak one in another.
What a score is not
- It is not an official or regulatory rating.
- It is not supplied, approved or paid for by the operator.
- It is not a count of real customer reviews or a star tally.
- It is not a prediction about your own results.
A score is our opinion, formed for comparison purposes, and it can change as a site changes. We never present a brand as “officially the best”.
Independence and corrections
Reviews are written from using the sites, not from operator press material, and our affiliate arrangements are kept separate from scoring — see the Affiliate Disclosure. If you believe something is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us and we will review it.
