How we're funded

Abbey Game Table is an affiliate-funded comparison site. This page explains exactly what that means so you can read our reviews with full context.

The short version

Some of the links to operators on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and go on to register an account, the operator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing and the offer you receive is unchanged. That income is what keeps the site free to read.

Which links earn commission

The main “Visit operator” buttons on casino cards are the links most likely to carry affiliate tracking. We add readable tracking parameters to these links so both sides can attribute the visit. Internal links between our own pages, and links to regulators and safer-gambling charities, are never affiliate links.

What commission does not buy

A commercial relationship does not buy a better score, kinder wording, or a higher spot on the page. We score against a fixed checklist and we are willing to publish a low mark or a critical note about a brand we have a partnership with.

  • Scores are set against our editorial checks, not commercial terms.
  • Position on the page is a reading order, not a paid ranking.
  • We will note shortcomings even where a partnership exists.

Why we're upfront about it

Affiliate funding is normal in this sector, but it should never be hidden. Being open about it is part of being a credible, independent review site. You can read how the scoring itself works in our Editorial Review Policy, and more about us on the About page.

A reminder

We are not a gambling operator. We do not take bets, hold funds or pay winnings, and we earn nothing from how much you stake or whether you win or lose. Please treat gambling as entertainment and never as a way to make money.
